Michelle Young, MA
Therapist

Michelle is passionate about helping families of trauma, foster, and adoption issues and uses the HEARTS counseling approach to counsel children developed for Dr. Kathleen Chara for them to gain emotional and behavioral regulation and competency within themselves, communities, and families. She is a graduate of Bethel University’s Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy program. 

 Prior to become a therapist, Michelle was a preschool teacher for several years at Maranatha Christian Academy, there she saw the need to help kids of all ages with mental health issues to improve academics, social and emotional and self-regulation.

Michelle is a mother of 3 and grandmother of 7.  She enjoys the outdoors in any season, in the woods or on the water. She enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing and camping. She is passionate about healing families and improving family functioning and building strong relationships.
